Baseline Test:

The Yellis Baseline Test, which has been in use since 1992, is a measure of developed abilities providing a fair baseline from which GCSE predictions and value-added scores can be generated. It is taken annually by roughly 150,000 students and is currently available in two forms:

Your students can take the Yellis Baseline Test in the first term of Year 10 or the second term of Year 11 - however, if you are keen to have your Yellis Baseline Scores at the beginning of Year 10,  your students can take the CABT version of the Yellis Baseline Test at the end of Year 9.

Attitudinal Questionnaires:

In addition to the short questionnaire in the Yellis Baseline Test, that looks briefly at their attitudes towards education and their aspirations for the near future, we also offer:

  • three Online Attitudinal Questionnaires for Year 10 or Year 11 students and their parents - a complete package for your school which includes an induction survey, Core/SEF survey and a parental survey
  • a traditional  Paper-based Attitudinal Yellis Questionnaire for Year 11 students only

All questionnaires are confidential and students/parents are guaranteed anonymity.
