Why use Yellis?

Yellis can be used by all secondary schools, is easy to implement, cost effective and produces valuable information to facilitate school improvement.

For example, our data can be used to:

  • track the progress of individual pupils

Using Yellis, you can monitor and measure students' performance at the subject-level throughout KS4 and how their progress compares with similar students. Our software will help you track your students' progress from our baseline test to KS4 and includes the option for you to add in additional test data, like mock exam results.

  • set targets (at the student, subject, cohort or school level)

We provide you with KS4 (GCSE or Standard Grade) predictions at the subject level for each individual student. These can be used, in conjunction with the Chances Graphs, to discuss and review meaningful target grades with students, their parents and your staff.

  • inform and review the setting and teaching groups of your students

School may now opt for their students to take the Yellis CABT test at the end of Year 9. The baseline test results are available within a few days of the completion of testing - thus providing schools with valuable data on their students before they enter Year 10.

  • identify individual students or groups of students that may require additional support

Yellis data can be used to help identify your students' individual strengths and weaknesses - including those students who are eligible for Gifted and Talented schemes, may need additional support, more challenging teaching or may benefit from a mentoring scheme.
